Urgent Search for Missing Pensioner, 69, After His Dog Is Found Without Him During Walk

Police have launched an urgent search for a 69-year-old man who disappeared while walking his dog in a Greater Manchester town, after the animal was found but its owner remained missing.
Anthony, from Radcliffe, was last seen at approximately 3pm on Sunday, November 1, in the Netley Gardens area.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that the pensioner had been walking his dog when he was last spotted.
However, while the dog has since been located, officers have been unable to trace Anthony, prompting growing concern for his welfare.
Police Growing Increasingly Concerned

GMP issued a public appeal on Monday, November 2, sharing a CCTV image of Anthony in the hope that someone might recognise him or provide information about his movements.
Officers said they were becoming increasingly worried about the missing man and wanted to ensure he was safe.
Anthony is described as a white man who was last seen wearing a navy coat. He also usually wears light blue jeans.
Police have not disclosed where or when his dog was found, or whether there are any known circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
The discovery of the animal without its owner has become a significant detail in the search.
Public Urged to Help Find Anthony

Greater Manchester Police are asking anyone who may have seen Anthony in Radcliffe on Sunday afternoon, or who has information about his whereabouts, to come forward.
Residents in the Netley Gardens area are particularly encouraged to consider whether they noticed anything that could assist officers.
Anyone with relevant information should contact Greater Manchester Police on 101, quoting log 4055 of November 1, 2026.
At the time of the police appeal, Anthony remained missing, and officers were continuing their efforts to locate him safely.
