A GRAMMY winning singer appeared to smack her bandmate in an awkward on-stage moment.
Gospel stars The Clark Sisters were performing in front of a packed audience in Memphis when the unexpected exchange unfolded.
Footage shows Dorinda Clark, 69, reaching her free hand across and seemingly giving Karen, 65, a couple of stern swats on the arm, chastising her for not standing in the right position.
Her sister is clearly caught off guard as she shoots her a wide-eyed look only a sibling could get away with.
Looking frustrated, she is seen waving her sister forward to stand in a better position.
Dozens of fans can be seen standing, cheering and filming the performance on their phones.
Fans saw the funny side after the footage was shared on social media.
One joked: “Singing for the lord and fussing at the same time (laugh emojis).”
Another wrote: “As the youngest we can never do anything right omg (laugh emoji).”
A third added: “Sisters are always funny to watch interact with each other.”
The Clark Sisters were formed by five daughters of gospel pioneer Dr Mattie Moss Clark: Jacky, Denise, Elbernita – known as Twinkie, Dorinda and Karen.
After Denise left in 1986, the group largely continued as a four-piece.
The Clark Sisters were advertised as special guests at Lisa Knowles-Smith and The Brown Singers’ 50th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration at Memphis’ Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ.
The pioneering Detroit gospel group rose to mainstream prominence in the early 1980s with crossover hits including You Brought The Sunshine.
They later won Grammys for Live — One Last Time and Blessed & Highly Favored before receiving the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.
Dorinda, Karen, Jacky and Twinkie are the current members of the band.
