Netflix makes surprising U-turn on divisive series after show ‘axe’

Tyler Perry fans were left confused after discovering another season of a drama was in the works.
Streaming giant Netflix has taken a major U-turn after announcing a fourth season of a ‘masterpiece’ drama had been given the green light, though the show was expected to end after three seasons.
Ahead of its Season 3 premiere, the drama has been renewed for another series, after it was previously reported that the third outing would be the final run.
The highly anticipated Season 2 spent six weeks in the Global Top 10, and the series follows two young women from opposite sides of the tracks who cross paths.
Beauty in Black, the show in question, tells the story of a stripper and a successful businesswoman whose worlds unexpectedly collide.
“Beauty in Black is back for Season 4, and the Bellarie family’s story is far from finished,” Perry announced.

Season 3, which is yet to get a release date, will see Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) finally have a seat at the Bellarie table.

Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their shock over the news, with one saying: “Waitttt we back?! I thought Season 3 was going to be the series finale? Oh yes.” [Sic]
Another added: “Oh wait gtfu they done added another season that’s what I’m talking about Beauty in Black.” [Sic]
A third shared: “Wait, I thought they were ending the show???” While others felt the show should end with Season 3, with one saying: “We had a good show, can you please let it rest?”
