Princess Beatrice has reflected on her mother, Sarah Ferguson’s divorce from Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The divorce took place in the 1990s but now Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, have opened up on a podcast to discuss their mother. Andrew and Sarah continued to live together after their divorce at Royal Lodge, they parted ways when Andrew was forced to leave the property and move to Norfolk, following his links to Jeffrey Epstein.
On the podcast, Lessons From Our Mothers, hosted by Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, and her half-sister, Isabella Branson, Beatrice and Eugenie spoke about the divorce. She spoke of her mother’s “ability to jump into any situation.” Beatrice explained: “There was always an adventure to be had, and now it’s so fun reflecting and looking back to say some of the harder times, through divorce, and through challenging moments, there was always an adventure.”

The couple parted partly as Andrew’s service in the Royal Navy meant long periods away from his wife, creating distance and strain on their marriage.
Fergie also wanted to work outside the Royal Family, something not traditionally allowed for a member of the royal household. She later explained that this was a primary reason for the divorce.
While they separated in 1992, the divorce was finalised in 1996 to allow Sarah to pursue her career and gain greater financial freedom.
Despite their separation and divorce, the Duke and Duchess of York have remained close friends and spent time together in the years that followed.

Sarah Ferguson has faced huge amounts of backlash as a result of her and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s, friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to the convicted American child sex offender.
Sarah’s current exact whereabouts remain unknown, with reports suggesting she is still keeping a low profile in an Austrian hideaway. In an “emotional” reunion, Beatrice and Eugenie are understood to have paid her a visit. Sarah has grown “desperate” for her daughters to help her out of the “nightmare” that’s followed being forced out of Royal Lodge in October, Closer Magazine reports.
