Reddington placed the bottles for six different medications she was taking leading up to the time prosecutors say she killed her three kids. All the drugs were prescribed to her in either December 2022 or January 2023.

The children were fatally strangled on Jan. 24, 2023.

“Those were in this drawer and they were all empty, right?” Reddington asked.

“Right,” Patrick responded.

When testimony began Monday, the prosecution also displayed several of Lindsay Clancy’s pill bottles, probing Patrick about whether he knew for sure that she was taking them, and if he knew the dosage.

He said he did not.

Lindsay Clancy meticulously wrote out the dosage of medications she took each day and her corresponding mental health state, according to a journal page shown to jurors.

For example on Dec. 8, 2022, she wrote that she took 5 mg of Valium along with 75 mg of Seroquel and that she “slept well 9-5 few wake ups feeling very depressed & intrusive thoughts today.”

The next day she wrote that she took 5 mg of Valium and 100 mg of Seroquel and “slept well horrible intrusive thoughts.”

Every entry on that page of her diary documented her mental health struggles that month.

The page was shown as Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, questioned her ex-husband Patrick Clancy at the trial in which she is accused of killing their three young kids.

Reddington is asking the jury to find her not guilty by reason of insanity on the grounds she was in the throes of severe postpartum psychosis caused partly because of all the prescription drugs she was on.

Lindsay Clancy had severe insomnia that began after she was prescribed the popular antidepressant Zoloft, her former husband, Patrick Clancy, testified.

Patrick — who was married to Lindsay at the time she’s accused of killing their three kids on Jan. 24, 2023 — said her lack of sleep was a “huge problem.”

“It was hard [for her] to function,” Patrick said. “I just wanted her to get sleep and feel better.”

He recalled accompanying Lindsay to a doctor’s appointment in early December 2022, one month before the murders, and described her as “extremely sleep deprived and highly anxious” at that time.

Patrick would sometimes see Lindsay rocking back and forth on the couch with her head on a pillow, he said.

Insomnia is a common side effect of Zoloft (generic name sertraline), according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Thoughts of suicide — which Patrick on Monday said Lindsay told him she had in the months just before the murders — are listed by the Cleveland Clinic as a possible side effect of Zoloft as well.

The 35-year-old’s ex-husband, Patrick Clancy — who was married to her at the time of the murders of their three kids — said he didn’t “recall” ever seeing the book.

Photos of the book were shown to the jury.

Jurors were shown a series of blown-up images of Lindsay Clancy’s cheerful kids that she posted to social media.

Several of the posts from 2021 and 2022 were shown to a somber Patrick as he confirmed who was in each of the images.

That’s “us with Cora and Dawson,” Patrick said of a post from July 2021 of his two oldest children.

Lindsay Clancy’s ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, testified she was a “very dedicated” mother to their three children — whom she is accused of killing.

“She was very dedicated. She did everything,” testified Patrick, who was married to her at the time of the murders but has since remarried. “She started reading them books at 3 months. She made up songs for them. She used to make green eggs and ham for Cora because she liked that [Dr. Seuss] book.”

The jury was then shown photos of collages on the walls of the kids’ room, including big stickers of characters from “Paw Patrol.”

At one point Lindsay’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, asked Patrick about Lindsay’s feelings toward their middle child, Dawson, who was 3 when he was killed.

“She loved Dawson very much,” Patrick said.

“Did she resent him?” Reddington asked.

“No,” Patrick answered.

Lindsay Clancy’s criminal defense attorney Kevin Reddington has begun cross-examining her former husband, Patrick Clancy.

The testimony came after a lunch break that was more than two hours long.

Patrick first testified on Monday and took the stand again Wednesday morning for prosecutors’ questioning.

A Plymouth fire truck showed up to court with EMTs getting escorted to the District Attorney’s office inside Plymouth Superior Court in Massachusetts during the same time court was paused for over an hour, according to a report by CBS News.

It wasn’t clear what emergency the paramedics were responding to.

Just before, Lindsay Clancy sobbed at the defense table as the horrific 911 call of her then-husband finding their children strangled in the basement of their home on Jan. 24, 2023, was played as evidence.

After the call was finished being played for the jury, Clancy was escorted out of the courtroom and trial went on the extended recess. This was around the same time first responders showed up to the courthouse.

Patrick Clancy, father of Lindsay Clancy’s three murdered children and her ex-husband, is set to resume testifying when court returns from lunch around 2 p.m., according to a report by CBS News.

Prosecutors wrapped up their questioning of Lindsay Clancy’s former husband earlier today, but Judge William Sullivan told the jury he might be recalled later in the day.

Judge William Sullivan just dismissed the jury for a two-hour lunch break following brief testimony from two witnesses.

Court is scheduled to resume at 2:00 p.m.

A restaurant hostess testified about how Lindsay Clancy called to place a take-out order just before she killed her three kids.

Lindsay called restaurant ThreeV at 5:10 p.m. and ordered risotto and a Mediterranean power bowl, Saria Sweeney Shelgren testified.

She said the phone call was totally normal.

Then Patrick Clancy entered the Plymouth restaurant at 5:54 to pick up the order, Sweeney said as surveillance video of the interaction was shown to the jury.

Patrick would return home shortly after to find Lindsay threw herself out of their bedroom window in a failed suicide attempt after she allegedly strangled their three young kids with exercise bands.

CVS General Manager Angela Krause testified that she received a call at the store from Lindsay Clancy asking about a medication.

Clancy asked her about a laxative for children and Krause told her where the medication was located in the Kingston store.

Krause said the conversation was “a very ordinary interaction.”

Later that night cops came to the store to ask for surveillance footage.

Clancy’s then-husband, Patrick Clancy, went to the store to pick up the medication for his wife. He returned home to find the kids dead, he testified.

Court is back from an hour-long break that began after Lindsay Clancy was escorted out of the courtroom in her wheelchair, sobbing.

Clancy broke down in tears before the recess as a roughly 6-minute long video of her then-husband’s 911 call was played for the jury.

Patrick Clancy made the emergency call after returning home to find Lindsay had thrown herself out of their bedroom window after killing their three young kids.

The court is now on a break on the heels of Patrick Clancy’s 911 call being played for the jury.

The six-minute call was “truly one of the worst things I’ve heard in my 43 years of reporting,” one reporter in the room wrote on X.

Only the people in the courtroom heard the 911 call after the judge approved Patrick Clancy’s request for it to not be broadcast to the public.

Accused killer Lindsay Clancy was sobbing loudly as she was wheeled out of the courtroom when the judge called a break.

Patrick Clancy could be heard yelling in a 911 call that his then-wife Lindsay Clancy “killed the kids!”

Patrick first told the 911 dispatcher that Lindsay tried to kill herself, according to a report by CBS News.

“Where are the kids, Lindsay?” Patrick could be heard asking her during the call. “Did you fall out the window, Linds? Did you fall? Is there something on your neck, Lindsay?”

Patrick had come home from running errands to find Lindsay on her back in their backyard, below their bedroom window. He said her wrists and neck were cut and bloodied.

Patrick then ran inside to find the children as first responders were arriving.

The father screamed and said he needed help in the basement.

“She killed the kids!” he said.

As the call played for the jury Lindsay sobbed in the courtroom, with her head in her hands.

Patrick Clancy testified that he spoke to his then-wife Lindsay Clancy a week after she allegedly murdered their three kids.

“She didn’t talk about our kids,” Clancy told the jury of the call. “She talked about what she went through.”

“She said she heard a man’s voice telling her if she didn’t do it now she would lose her chance, or something like that,” he recounted of the conversation.

Patrick said it wasn’t untill after the Jan. 24, 2023 horror that he came to know what psychosis was.

Lindsay’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, told jurors that she was in the throes of severe postpartum psychosis at the time of the slayings.

Patrick on Monday told the jury how Lindsay had struggled with suicidal thoughts in the months leading up to the murders and how she was being treated by five different doctors who had prescribed her 15 different psychiatric meds from November 2022 until January 2023.

Lindsay had been hospitalized twice for mental health issues during that time as well, Patrick testified.

Lindsay Clancy put her hand in her hands and sobbed as jurors heard the 911 call her husband Patrick Clancy made the night prosecutors say she murdered her three kids.

The judge ruled that the 911 call would not be aired on the livestream of the trial, but Clancy could be seen on the silent video feed breaking down into tears as the call played.

Her elbows rested on the defense table, as her head was in her hands and her body convulsed from crying.

Prosecutor Jennifer Sprague showed the jury the three exercise bands Lindsay Clancy allegedly used to kill her three kids.

Sprague also showed the jury the clothes the young children were wearing when they were discovered dead.

Clancy turned her head away from the camera and dabbed her eyes with a tissue during the display.

We haven’t seen Lindsay’s face yet, as she’s been turned away from court cameras the whole time so far.

Patrick Clancy just wrapped up his testimony.

Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer didn’t cross examine him but the judge noted he might be recalled later in the day.

Patrick Clancy testified about the gutting moment he went to the basement to find his three young kids unresponsive with exercise bands around their necks.

“I saw Cora,” Clancy said in a very quiet voice. “She had a band around her neck.”

He said the five-year-old was “face down” and she was unresponsive.

He said he took the bands off of her neck and then saw his son Callan, 8 months old, also with a band around his neck.

Then Patrick went to find his other son, Dawson, and found the three-year-old in the dad’s basement office with a band on his neck.

“I knew that he was gone,” Patrick told the jury.

He then ran back to Cora and tried to perform CPR on her.

Patrick Clancy testified about leaving his Duxbury home to pick up a medication at CVS and get takeout from a restaurant the night of the murders.

He said CVS didn’t have the brand of laxative wife Lindsay Clancy asked him to get for one of their kids so he called her.

The pair spoke at 5:34 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2023.

“It was very brief and I just said, ‘Is this one Ok?’ and she said, ‘Yeah, that’s fine.'”

“She was pretty quiet. It sounded like she was busy. I remember thinking she was giving baths or something like that,” Patrick told the jury.

Patrick Clancy testified after seeing blood all over his bedroom he “ran downstairs and went outside.”

“I looked around in the backyard … and I saw Lindsay,” Patrick told the jury.

“She was face up in the backyard,” he said adding she was resting below their second-floor window.

“She had deep cuts on her wrist and a red line across her neck. I wasn’t sure what it was at first but it was a cut on her neck.”

He asked her what happened and she responded: “I tried to kill myself.”

He then asked where their three kids were and she said: “They are in the basement.”

Patrick Clancy just testified about seeing blood all over his bedroom the night his wife, Lindsay Clancy, tried to kill herself after strangling their three kids.

“It looked like [blood] was sprayed with a hose,” Patrick said of the bedroom he shared with Lindsay. “There was a huge puddle in the middle of the room and it was pretty much on every surface. I remember it was on the door knob.”

Patrick Clancy just testified about returning home from running errands and discovering an eerily quiet house before opening his bedroom to find “blood everywhere.”

“The house was really quiet,” he said.

Patrick called down to the basement and no one answered so he went upstairs thinking the kids were being bathed. But he still didn’t find anyone.

Then he went to his bedroom but the door was locked which was when “I knew something was wrong.”

The dad of three unlocked the room with a key and saw “blood everywhere” and the window open.

Clancy tried to kill herself, cutting her throat and wrists and throwing herself from her bedroom window. She paralyzed herself in the attempt which came after she allegedly fatally strangled her three young kids with exercise bands.

The public won’t be shown autopsy photos of Lindsay Clancy’s three children and they won’t hear the 911 call her husband made when he returned to find his children strangled.

Judge William Sullivan ruled that the media cannot record when the particularly graphic and heartbreaking evidence is shown to the jury.

Clancy’s ex-husband, Patrick, made the request to block the media from broadcasting the evidence on a livestream.

Lindsay Clancy’s husband is back on the witness stand after trial took a one-day break Tuesday.

Patrick Clancy, who remarried earlier this year, first testified Monday for several hours on the first day of the heartbreaking trial about the mental health struggles Lindsay had for the months leading up to the murders.

A jury is slated to visit the Duxbury, Mass., home on Friday where Lindsay Clancy allegedly murdered her three kids, the judge told them Wednesday.

Judge William Sullivan wrote in an order that the panelists can “visually inspect the outside of the property as well as the following interior areas: the basement, all rooms on the first floor, and all the rooms on the second floor.”

A lawyer currently lives in the home and objected to the visit but the judge previously overruled the objection finding that the visit would help inform the jurors decision.
