Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton set Albertsons Stadium on fire when they surprised a packed crowd in Boise, Idaho, with their first-ever live performance of “Dive Bar.” The moment they walked out together, the stadium erupted—people knew they were about to witness something special. Their duet was so electrifying, so full of wild energy and easy chemistry, that the crowd refused to let it end. The two stars ended up performing the song twice, with the second run filmed for a live music video. Shelton could barely keep it together afterward, laughing and admitting, “I was singing with Garth Brooks! I’m freaking out.” It wasn’t just a performance—it was one of those once-in-a-lifetime concert moments people will brag about forever.

Country superstars Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton shared the stage to perform their duet, “Dive Bar,” for the first time ever over the weekend.

Taking the stage in front of a sold-out crowd of 40,000+ at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, ID, the pair seemed to have a blast together while performing the hit song.

“I was singing with Garth Brooks! I’m freaking out,” Shelton confessed after they wrapped up the song, according to Variety.

Because the performance was taped to use as a live music video for “Dive Bar,” Brooks and Shelton were asked to do it all again.

“Are you telling me I sucked?” Shelton asked.

Before they sang “Dive Bar” again, Brooks had a small request for Shelton.

“Instead of doing this back-to-back … this is the coolest crowd you will ever play” for, Brooks declared. “Your ‘God’s Country’ has been No. 1 for two weeks. Would you mind playing the song? Is that cool?”

Shelton obliged and delivered an acoustic performance of “God’s Country” before they ran through “Dive Bar” once again.

Filming the video at Albertsons Stadium wasn’t the pair’s first choice, but it became their only choice once they compared schedules.

“He’s the nicest guy on the planet … but the busiest guy on the planet,” Brooks reportedly told press before the show. “We were trying to get it done somewhere else.”

“Dive Bar” is from Garth Brooks’ forthcoming studio album, FUN. The song is currently inside the top 30 at country radio. To celebrate the single, Brooks is in the midst of a seven-city Dive Bar Tour.
