House of the Dragon is taking no prisoners.
The Game of Thrones franchise has become a major media property and spans award-winning television series, bestselling novels, and record-breaking spinoffs. The entire world is adapted from George R.R. Martin’s novels and his fantasy world of Westeros. It has been reported that the franchise has generated over $4.4 billion in total revenue, and now House of the Dragon is promising even more dragons and bloodshed as the final episode of season 3 approaches.
Director Nina Lopez-Corrado also addressed some major changes for the iconic battle, and she teased how it would be different from Martin’s novel: “We do deviate just a little bit in episode 7 from what’s originally in the books and, personally, from a character standpoint, what Ryan [Condal, showrunner] and the writers did in terms of that really helped evolve the character storylines from what were in the books. I know that’s a very controversial thing to say for diehards, but I think some of the storylines that you’re gonna see in 7 that’ll carry on into 8 were really executed strongly by the writers and also by the actors.”
