BRADLEY Walsh was left wincing after a contestant on The Chase called out Mark Labbett for playing “mind games”.
Monday evening’s episode of the ITV quiz show saw Matt, Christine, Geoff and Diane join forces to take on one of the country’s finest brains – and one of them soon stole the show.
Up first to take on The Beast was Matt, putting in a strong performance to book his spot in the final round with £9,000.
However, Mark fought back and proceeded to swiftly catch Christine.

Geoff branded the jibes as “mind games” and navigated his way past to the Beast to progress to the final round.
The player successfully guessed a number of answers and the host was confused he managed to evade the Chaser.
He said: “I feel sorry for Matt. He’s got the dead weight of Geoff to work with.”
But Geoff laughed off the comments and pointed to his brain to suggest the insults were another bout of mind games.
