THE Chase host Bradley Walsh is left stunned as he gets his first glimpse of Anne Hegerty dressed as Ginger Spice in this exclusive clip.
I’m a Celeb star Anne, 60, gamely donned Geri Horner’s iconic Union Jack dress to huge applause for the ITV quiz show’s Christmas special.
Poking fun at Anne’s new look, host Bradley, 58, said: “Never mind Ginger Spice, you look like a ginger nut.”
Famous contestants Scarlett Moffatt. Judy Murray and John Inverdale appeared delighted with The Governess’ costume change, cheering and laughing as she made her entrance.
Veteran actor and Wombles narrator Bernard Cribbins, 89, who was about to challenged, put his hand to his heart and cried: “I’m in love.”
Anne’s makeover comes after she melted viewers’ hearts in the jungle.
The boffin struggled to adapt to the wild conditions and admitted: “On the first night I lay awake all night crying just thinking what have I done.
“So I started to list all the people I was going to disappoint.”
She also opened up about her struggle with autism, saying: “I’ve had to learn an awful lot about myself and what I can and can’t do and what I can or can’t cope with.”
Anne finally landed back in the UK from Australia yesterday after losing a stone during her jungle experience.
The Celebrity Chase Christmas Special airs Sunday December 16 at 8pm on ITV.
It comes after Anne left viewers crying with laughter after a hilarious one-liner in a recent episode of The Chase.
She asked Keith Allen: “Do you find that people shout Fat Les at you in the street? Because they do to me.”
Lily Allen’s dad found musical fame by releasing footie anthem Vindaloo with his band Fat Les during the 2008 World Cup.
He faced Anne’s Chase persona The Governess on an episode earlier this week of the ITV quiz alongside Stacey Solomon, Louise Minchin and Matt Allwright.
