Bradley Walsh gives The Chase contestant a stern talking to after he breaks the rules
The quizzer held his head in his hands after making the embarrassing blunder
THE Chase viewers were surprised when Bradley Walsh kicked-off at a contestant for failing to follow instructions.
Quiz show hopeful, Dave, was playing for £6,000 when he made the awkward gaffe.
First, the 60-year-old revealed his answer before host Brad had a chance to tell the audience what option he’d gone for.
And the embarrassing moments didn’t end there.
After Dave piped up, “I’m going for Tolstoy”, Bradley remarked: “You’re not allowed to tell us what you’re going for.”
The popular presenter then added: “You can’t do any of that Dave.
“You’ve just got to press your button, that’s all you’ve got to do.”
Clearly misunderstanding the instructions, Dave responded by pushing the button again.
As Brad yelled “No”, the contestant cringed as he held his head in his hands.
The confused host replied: “No, you don’t do it again.
“Why’ve you just pushed it when I told you not to do it again and then you did it?”
The viewers at home were equally baffled by Dave’s blunder.

Some quiz show fans questioned whether or not Dave had even seen The Chase before.
Others branded him a “plonker”, asking if the quizzer was even aware he was conscious.
Dave isn’t the only contestant to get mocked online following their performance on the show.
