The former Suits actress has since taken to Instagram to share photos from their trip, including one that appears to show Harry and Archie carrying flowers as Lilibet walks behind them.

Some eagle-eyed fans are convinced the picture was taken in the Althorp Estate gardens, sparking speculation that it was captured before the Sussexes visited Princess Diana’s grave. While Meghan has not confirmed the photo’s location, that hasn’t stopped her from facing severe backlash online.

“This has upset people who normally defend Meghan,” one royal source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice. “The backlash isn’t just coming from her critics anymore.”

Now, the concern isn’t about the family of four visiting Diana’s final resting place, but rather that Meghan may have shared what some consider an “intensely private family moment” with the public.

“Diana’s brave has always been treated as a place of quiet reflection,” a palace insider added. “If that’s where this photo was taken, many believe it never belonged on social media.”

According to sources, Harry’s older brother, Prince William, is absolutely “devastated” by the social media post—but he’s “not surprised” that Meghan would do something like this.

“William has always been fiercely protective of his mother’s memory,” a source explained. “He’s upset, but sadly, he’s no longer shocked by anything Harry and Meghan do.”

King Charles is also said to be deeply crushed by Meghan’s post. “The King is genuinely shocked,” a separate royal insider revealed. “Even people who usually refuse to comment on Harry and Meghan are wincing. The feeling is that some family moments are simply too sacred to share.”

However, not everyone is furious with Meghan. In fact, Diana’s younger brother, Earl Spencer, reportedly “knows every headline brings attention to Althorp,” and believes that “more interest in Diana’s resting place is ultimately good for the family estate.”
