Prince Harry has made an unexpected cameo today as he FaceTime-d his wife Meghan Markle during her MasterChef Australia appearance. In a clip shared online by MasterChef Australia, Meghan can be seen being handed a phone right in the studio.

She takes the phone to find her husband Prince Harry on a video call, with her face lighting up at seeing him. The Duchess of Sussex instantly greets him with “hi, my love”, which drew cheers from everyone else in the room as she spent time talking to him.

During the call, she introduces him to the judges and contestants, and can be seen showing him the dishes they are taste-testing. The episode was filmed when Harry and Meghan were in Australia earlier this year.

The Duchess of Sussex tells her husband: “We wish you were here.”

She then turns to the judges and explains: “He’s in Canberra right now. With the veterans.”

After praising the “wonderful” look of the set, Harry asks to see the dishes made by the participants, with Meghan turning the camera to show him. The Duke then apologises for disturbing and tells his wife to enjoy, while letting her know that “all is well” where he is and that he will see her later.

Meghan beams and replies: “Okay I’ll see you later. Say bye to everybody! And there’s the crew! Love you, talk to you later, bye!”

The video shared by MasterChef Australia quickly received a lot of attention from fans of the couple, who rushed to leave comments on social media.

On Instagram, one person wrote: “Love this.”

Another person commented: “This is beautiful.”

Meanwhile, someone else added: “They have such an adorable relationship.”
